Property prices in Fethiye, Turkey continue to drop in value. Turkish property hasnt increased much in value over the past 5 years. Investment property can still make money, but be careful where in Turkey or abroad are doing well. Many properties in Fethiye have been sold to English expats and many properties are still for sale. Olu Deniz has to be one of the most famous parts of Turkey (it's close to the Greek island of Rhodes , which you can see in the distance on a clear day. ) The photo here is of Olu Deniz , which is famous for its year round outdoor activities . Paragliding, kayaking, microlighting and numerous other activities take place here . It is also the start of the famous "Lycian way" hike to Antalya, which takes days to complete ! Skiing takes place during winter in the nearby ski resort .

Year round flights operate to Dalaman airport which is only a 45 minutes drive from Fethiye , including Thomas cook airlines, British Airways and many others .
Fethiye has a British consulate aswell as a good public infrastructure. It is located on the Mediterranean sea and has a very warm sunny Mediterranean climate. Turkey is also a great place to invest with EU accession talks underway, a rapidly growing economy, and for the first time in Turkish history Turks and foreigners can both obtain Turkish mortgages on property, from January 2008 . Up until this date Turks used pure cash/credit as mortgages were not catered for!
This means a huge increase in demand is expected for property in popular resorts like Fethiye .
