Olu Deniz has to be one of the most famous parts of Turkey (it's close to the Greek island of Rhodes , which you can see in the distance on a clear day. ) The photo here is of Olu Deniz , which is famous for its year round outdoor activities . Paragliding, kayaking, microlighting and numerous other activities take place here . It is also the start of the famous "Lycian way" hike to Antalya, which takes days to complete ! Skiing takes place during winter in the nearby ski resort .

Year round flights operate to Dalaman airport which is only a 45 minutes drive from Fethiye , including Thomas cook airlines, British Airways and many others .
Fethiye has a British consulate aswell as a good public infrastructure. It is located on the Mediterranean sea and has a very warm sunny Mediterranean climate. Turkey is also a great place to invest with EU accession talks underway, a rapidly growing economy, and for the first time in Turkish history Turks and foreigners can both obtain Turkish mortgages on property, from January 2008 . Up until this date Turks used pure cash/credit as mortgages were not catered for!
This means a huge increase in demand is expected for property in popular resorts like Fethiye .
Apartments in Turkey are Freehold and are built to European standards but at non European prices .
